In June 2014, I joined FSP. A former colleague contacted me with an amazing opportunity that was going to change my life: “Hey, there is this small UK company (by that time FSP didn’t have more than 25 employees) that wants to open a new office and grow a team in Barcelona, do you want to be part of it?”

In the beginning, I was a bit hesitant. I was working for a big, well-established consultancy by then, and I was part of a really good and trusted team, so I was in a really stable position and very comfortable. Additionally, joining FSP would going to mean mostly working in a non-native language, which comes with its challenges. But then I remembered that great things never came from comfort zones, and I was young, so it was a good time for me to jump into this adventure. “Hell yeah, why not.”, I told to my colleague. I’ve never looked back.

I joined as a Software Developer, then transitioned to a Lead Developer and now to a Team Lead. During all these years, I had the opportunity to work on many projects, using a wide range of different technologies, and collaborate with many customers in many different sectors. I had the privilege to work with many of the professionals and great people that work at FSP, learning what I could from them. I now have the pleasure to lead the growing BCN team.

I’m super proud of working for an ambitious company such as FSP, with plenty of opportunities for anyone, with an amazing culture, strong values and lovely people who, what’s more, are strong professionals who care. I always reflect on a quote from FSP’s CEO: “We are not perfect, but our intentions are always good”, and I cannot agree more with it.
