Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service provides vital care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, helping families across Berkshire, South Bucks and surrounding counties during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Every year, the charity supports more than 200 children and families through specialist nursing care, symptom management, respite support, emotional wellbeing services, and end-of-life care, both in families’ homes and at the hospice itself.
The annual cost of employing a specialist Band 6 nurse is approximately £46,000, and every donation helps bring Alexander Devine closer to supporting more families in desperate need of care.

As demand for children’s palliative care continues to grow, so does the need for specialist clinical staff. This year, fundraising efforts are focused on helping fund a full-time specialist carer for one year, a role that provides expert medical care, comfort, reassurance, and emotional support to children and their families when they need it most.
While an amazing amount has already been raised, there is still more needed to help towards funding this essential role for an entire year.
At FSP’s recent AI Summit, attendees, partners, and supporters came together to help raise £12,000 towards this important goal. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated and contributed, including our investors, CBPE, whose support helped launch the fundraising efforts.
